The Role

Reporting to the Business Development Manager – Principal Partners, the Business Development Manager will be the Brand representative and perform a crucial role interfacing, developing and growing category partnership for the Principal Brand. Internally the successful candidate will be required to build relationships with various levels of management and stakeholders.

As the conduit for the business, you would be responsible for the commercial management of the brands in the Australian Market, being the ultimate brand partner, ensuring 360-degree feedback to all stakeholders internally whilst consistently managing accurate growth strategies, forecasting and planning with brands partners.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, a strong technical ability within finance, analytics, category, sales and marketing with a proactive and flexible mentality is essential.

The ideal candidate must effectively demonstrate previous category growth using a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills, whilst also working closely with the category, supply, marketing and sales team to strengthen relationships with partners and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate must be customer focused, innovative and have the ability to think on their feet.

Commercially sound, you will have a humble, driven character with the ability to self-motivate, hold an exceptionally high level of customer service and be extremely organised. While industry background and experience is important, the successful candidate will possess extensive understanding of P&L and the operational side of a food manufacturing business.

Tertiary qualified with strong analytical, presentation and negotiation skills
Minimum of 10 year’s experience in FMCG sales/category
National Account Management and Category experience
