Reporting to the Business Development Manager – Principal Partners, this newly created Category Development Manager position will play a pivotal role, as the key support, interfacing and developing relationships with various levels of management and stakeholders. Responsible for the Dry Fruit and Nut and Snacking Cheese Categories, the Category Development Manager will drive category growth with a customer first mentality.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will present strong technical ability within finance, analytics, sales and marketing with a proactive and flexible mentality. Additionally , you will have demonstrated previous category growth experience using a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills harnessed through experience working with major retail partners.
With strong presentation skills, you will be confident in your ability to analyse and present data and trends within your preferred categories. While industry background and experience is important, the candidate’s technical ability will be looked upon most favourably. Ideally you will have experience with Aztec and Nielsen, Quantium and Shopper & household panel combined with a tenacious, “self-starter” approach.
Tertiary Qualified in business, marketing or similar
10 years of relative FMCG experience
Category Development background a high advantage
