This role will report directly to the Senior Content Communications Manager but will be responsible for the day-to-day social media management as well as be the company’s primary writer and editor for brand content on all “new” media channels (websites, e-mail, social media, videos, and syndicated content on third-party sites). Additionally, this role will contribute to the development of short and long-form content such as white papers, brochures, and articles for various product areas.
As the ideal candidate, you will have highly sensitive radar and a creative approach to news and storytelling. You’re an exceptional writer and arrive with a proven track record in interacting with short-form digital and social media content. You relish being in a selfless team orientation and have proven ability to operate in an autonomous environment.
Drawing on the subject matter expertise of various internal partners (“heads of”, Marketing Managers, Product Specialists, and other colleagues), you will leverage your own editorial knowledge to create relevant, timely and thought-provoking content that’s on-brand and connected to the organisation’s content strategy.
Your responsibilities will include crafting, managing and optimising campaigns across key performance channels and social media channels. You will be responsible to work with internal teams to optimise your channels, drive and educate internal project management processes as well as help deliver social media operations and enterprise-wide projects.
You will help identify potential reputational issues which may be triggered by social media community activities, tell the client’s story, bolster engagement, connect and bring new and innovative digital solutions to life. As the Digital Content Specialist, you will bring an understanding of how to present social channel stories in a compelling and generous way in order to improve the perception of the brand within these targeted communities.
You will create operational processes and documentation for the entire communications department, in addition to monitoring social communities’ thorough analytics.

Your educational background is preferably tertiary qualified in Communications, PR and/or Journalism; however, most importantly you possess a minimum of four to five plus years’ experience in a corporate or agency based environment with strong social strategy and communications threads.
