This organisation boasts one of the largest and advanced production facilities in Australia and leads their market with both home grown and traditional brands. At the forefront of both retail and foodservice sectors, they are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to drive World-Class reliability standards and methods to increase productivity and processes as the organisation aims to increase volume, capacity, yield, margin delivery and quality.
Reporting into the General Manager of Operations, your core focus will be to lead a large and varied Maintenance team (10) tasked with maximising plant availability and OEE through preventative/predictive maintenance, thorough planning, efficient breakdown maintenance, management of spares availability and overall team development. You will drive continuous improvement for the maintenance function as well as play a critical role in training and mentoring the maintenance team. You will also assume total responsibility for creating and executing the long-term maintenance strategy and budget in line with overall business requirements.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience leading large technical teams across electrical, mechanical, control systems, trades, stores and planning
Successful track record in maintenance leadership in large scale manufacturing organisations.
Strong background in creation and execution of maintenance strategy, change management, modern LEAN philosophies, budgeting and industrial relations (IR).
Collaborative hands-on team player and leader with the ability to step back, empower and let the team thrive.
Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills at all levels required.
