As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

As a Principal Sales Consultant within the Oracle Middleware Platform Team you will play a pivotal role aligning innovative technology solutions to business requirements within our customer accounts, bringing together both cloud and on-premise products from multiple Oracle lines of business to best meet customer needs.
Your primary focus as a Middleware Principal Sales Consultant is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle Middleware products and solutions, inclusive of our existing on-premise and latest PaaS offerings, to derive and present value propositions and solutions to our partners, prospects and customers. You will assume a role as trusted advisor, driving innovation and improving business performance.
Audiences of your product and solution presentations will range from developer teams to C-level executives, hence excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. As too is an ability to think creatively whilst dealing with ambiguous information and maintaining a level of flexibility across different scenarios – ultimately deriving innovative solutions to complex problems and recommending achievable architectures with actionable next-steps. Experience responding to RFI/RFPs is also highly desirable.
The Cloud products this Principal Sales Consultant role will predominantly work with include Oracle Java Cloud Service (JCS), Integration Cloud Service (ICS), SOA Cloud Service (SOACS), Process Cloud Service (PCS), Mobile Cloud Service (MCS), Internet of Things Cloud Service (IoTCS), Application Builder Cloud Service (ABCS), Container Cloud Service (Docker), Developer Cloud Service and more.
Experience with one or more of the following technologies is a plus:
o Cloud Platforms (Oracle, AWS, Azure, etc)
o JavaScript & HTML5
o Node.js and other modern languages (Ruby, PHP, Python, etc)
o SOA & Web Services
o VPN & Networking
o Security & Cryptography
o Internet of Things related technologies
o Enterprise Virtualisation
o Docker
o Source Control, Continuous Integration, DevOps, etc
Experience with one or more of the following Oracle solutions is a plus:
o All Oracle Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
o Java SE
