Project Officer required for an immediate start to provide procurement and contract management support for an ongoing project within Victorian government.

The role

Provide administrative support and co-ordination of procurement processes ensuring procurement is met in accordance with the department's policy and procedural requirements, to include:

Preparation of required documentation including the development of RFQ's
Coordination of all procurement activities within the project scope
Establishment of evaluation panels
Provide administrative support and co-ordination of contract management deliverables ensuring contracting processes are met in accordance with the department's policy and procedural

Requirements, to include:

Preparation of required documentation towards the contracting of a successful vendor
Ensuring all required documentation is developed and approved in a timely manner
Support the project team in the delivery of all contractual obligations
Actively contribute to project delivery including tracking and reporting of work streams, timelines, milestones and deliverables, resource and budget management and procurement

To be successful in this role you should have the following experience:

Qualifications / experience in procurement / contract management
Excellent planning and organising skills with proven ability to prioritise your workload in order meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience in anticipating and identifying effective ways to manage and adjust for potential barriers
Providing guidance and support to project managers to identify risks and overcome obstacles
Quickly summarising complex options and recommending a clear way forward; monitoring overall project performance against project plans
Actively participating as a member of the team to help ensure the completion of common goals in a consultative and collaborative manner
